2,5mm hook
Cotton yarn; I used Alize baby cotton “Soft” (similarly yarn- Schachenmayr Catania)- yellow, white and red
Black; white embroidery thread

The crocheted gingerbread is approximately 9-10 cm tall from top to bottom. It may vary though depending on the kind of yarn and hook size used. You can also use any color of yarn. Feel free to add accessories to your very own Christmas Gingerbread man.

Stuff the body very lightly

Don’t cut the yarn, we continue to make the legs.

Legs

Stuff lightly. Fasten off

Lay the toy so that the leg is at the top and away from your face. Insert your hook across two stitches from first leg.
Pick up the yarn and pull it throght. Chain one, then insert your hook in the same st and crochet sc. It will be the first st of secod leg.

Rnd 24-27. sc around [12], 4 rounds
Rnd 28. (dec, 2sc) x 3 [9]
Stuff the leg lightly. Fasten off

Arms

Lay the toy so that the leg is at the top and away from your face as show on photo. Insert your hook in across two stitches and pick up the yarn. Stuf the arm lightly. Fasten off

Embroider the eyes using the black thread and three knops on the using the red thread

Sew the bow on the neck for a body and on the head for a girl.
Bow: in magic ring: (ch 1, 4 dc, ch 1, slst) x 2
Cut the yarn, leave a tail for sewing.
