Crochet in light brown color. Take a piece of wire with the length of about 30 cm and fold in half, twisting the ends around each other carefully.
Wrap with adhesive tape or with duct tape across the whole length. Insert the wire end into the piece opening and crochet around the future handle.

Cut the thread, fasten off.
Pull the thread tail through the front loops of the stitches on the last round using a needle and pull the opening closed. Weave in the thread tail inside of the piece.
Now take the yarn of golden color and attach the thread to the front loop of round 30. Crochet 16sc into front loops of stitches, hold the broomstick with the tail twigs facing up. Finish the round, working 1 additional sc into the first stitch of the round, where we have attached the thread. Cut, fasten off.
Crochet into front loops of stitches in round 33 in the same way. Then go for round 35 and crochet one round with 16sc + 1 additional sc in the same way. Work 2 rounds more, 17sc in each round. Don’t cut the thread.
Now work sl st into the next stitch and make straps: make ch10, from the second ch from the hook 9 sl st. Crochet sl st into the next stitch and make ch10 again, from the second ch from the hook 9 sl st. Finish crocheting with slip stitch into the same stitch, from where we started to make the second chain. Cut the thread and fasten off. Weave in all the thread tails inside of the piece.
Our broomstick is finished!
